cTiVo is running on a Mac Mini 2012 with Sierra 10.12.6. I am testing with a TiVo BOLT and a TiVo Premiere. So it does not appear to be a problem with antivirus software, network connectivity, cTiVo configuration, or video file corruption.

I am not running any antivirus software at the moment. I have also restarted the TiVo BOLT and disabled the native macOS firewall. I have tried downloading 3 different shows from both TiVo's with the same results.
